Berlin, good old friend

A weekend in Berlin, good old friend, with some good old friends

Went to Berlin to see my dearest Antonia, soon to be 30.

To think she was only 19 when we met, so much and so little has changed.

On the streets of Berlin

Spontaneous discussion groups form on the streets in Berlin.

As do protests, here against the eviction of refugees from a squat, and the wider issue of how refugees are treated in Germany.
At the ngbk, Luce de Lire and friends put on the exhibition 'What is Queer Today is not Queer Tomorrow', this installation refers to a journalist's compared transgender profile Thomas Beatie's gender reassignment surgery to attaching fins to his body and punching a blowhole into his back to claim he was a dolphin.

A night at Redwood

At Redwood, we met up with old friends Ryan and Sabrina

And Kevin, who set up this bar about two years ago

With some of the finest mixologists in Berlin

A nice chunk of redwood bar made for hours of hanging

Thank you Redwood!

Berlin loved up selfies

The obligatory Bird

The short visit ended as it started, with a lot of pilsner, good friends and good laughs at the Bird (where else?)

pilsner + coke = diesel

Steely Ryan

Goodbye Berlin, see you again soon!
